Ambition.

By now, we’ve all had a taste of ambition. You want to succeed in life and accomplish your dreams. You want that “good life” but the journey there is a struggle. Starting out, you have a low paying job, a full-time academic schedule, and bills to overcome. It’s hard to get there starting out but at least you’re starting. You’re beginning to put in the hard work, feeling determined, and striving for what you want out of life. Some want pretty things, some want to travel, some want to invest, some want to help, and some want to have all of that. I want a beautiful home that is designed wonderfully to my fiance and I, a fast car, and to travel. But I also want to build a blog that helps others, write a book that changes a life, and to be extremely happy. I want to get the most out of life and I know that I have to work my butt off to achieve my dream life. I’m working on my first novel (I’m in love with it so far so I hope you like it!), I’m working hard in college, and I’m saving every penny. I’m not going to lie, I do want the pretty things like a giant room in my house dedicated to a library, an organized and sweet office, and a flashy car. There’s clearly a lot more I want but I don’t want you to laugh at me!
There’s a song lyric from a song called “I’m Ready” Nikyee Heaton that says “My ambition is my weaponry”. How perfect is that? Life throws at you all these challenges and as long as you focus on your goals and desires, you’ll have the purpose of taking care of anything that is in your way. I actually want to get this tattooed on my collarbone or somewhere (Sorry, grandma) because it is such a significant statement. I find that despite how bad my life is in that very minute, I know because of my determination and focus, I’ll flourish and earn everything I want.
A common question that is always debated is if having ambition a good trait. If all you want is wealth, then I don’t think it’s a good thing. There is so much more to life than just wealth. Psychology Today wrote an in depth article that is extremely interesting and I think should be read so I’m linking it here. The author goes into great detail about ambition in a psychological perspective and compares it to greed, hope, and aspiration. It’s a really interesting read.

I also wanted to share some cool deals that Target emailed me about that my readers get! I’m just going to list them out (I’ll learn more on formatting coupons, deals, etc. so it’s a little more cleaned up but one of these coupons is on a tight time frame) along with the link to go do some shopping! The links in this post contains affiliate links and I will receive a small commission if you make a purchase after clicking on the link.

  • Target is offering 15% their site and in-stores from today (11/27/16) to Monday (11/28/16) to grab all of your last minute savings for holiday shopping and everything else and I’ll link it right here.
  • Target is also offering free shipping for all orders despite how much you spend and free returns just in case which is going from now until December 21st, 2016.
  • You can save 40% on bedding, rugs, decor, dining & entertaining right here. It’s perfect for buying all new decor that are on sale. I’m seriously obsessed with all of their bed sets and all of their little decor objects.
  • You can save $10 when you spend $50 or $25 when you spend $100 on holiday decor.

That is it for now everyone. ‘Tis the season for savings. Officially I’m saying HAPPY HOLIDAYS. Enjoy it with your families and friends.
